Time and Commitment

Phases/ Stages in Life till Date

Single--> Dating--> Married--> Kids

Single

Everyone will remember the freedom of being single. The amount of time that we can spare and plan for our own interest. Hanging out with friends till late be it clubbing, pubbing, mahjong, BBQ, sports, midnite shows, late nites etc.

Dating

Got to know the girl/guy of our dream and managed to woo her/him. Started dating and things more or less still remain the same. The amount of time is however now split between friends and the one. More or less the things that you used to do will still be able to make time for them.

Married

Finally after several months or years as a couple, the guy decided to pop the question. Both of you signed on the marriage certificate. Now both of you are staying together, more time is spend together. Being married is not about the two, both families come into the picture. Fostering on the relationship within the family by going back home for dinner at least once a week.

Married with Kids

After months or years of 俩人世界, both of you decided to have bear the fruit of love. Time will be totally devoted to taking good care of your kid. Weekend will go by real fast. Next thing you know, you will be worrying which primary school to start preparing to send them too.

Basically I'm not complaining about the current stage/phase that I am in now or the amount of time that seems to be always insufficient. I am very grateful that my wife had been taking very good care of the kids. The post is just to share on the amount of time that ones need to devote or cater to before preparing for the next phase/stage.

Wifey Birthday Coming Soon.

It's always full of birthday celebrations in the beginning of the year. Starting with mine in February, Shannon's in March and wifey's in April. Next year we will start celebrating in December for Ethan's.

Now in April, it's wifey's turn even though I never got any celebration or present for mine this year. I got to start planning where to bring her for dinner. Most likely will be having the 2 kids tagging along.

Events that Occur Recently...

Shannon celebrated her 4th birthday on 24 Mar. We bought her a fruit cake and barbie muskeeter as her present. Something that she's been eyeing since last Christmas. Shannon happily celebrated her birthday with her cousins while Daddy is too frustrated due to the super hot weather.

Ethan managed to flip over the next day on 25 Mar. He was still not strong enough to hold his head up high when he flip over. He's strengthen after a few days. He's now 4 months old. Time seems to past by so fast. Nowadays he tend to sleep sideway instead of lying flat on the back.

Playground at Shannon's Favourite MacDonalds

We went to Shannon's favourite MacDonalds for breakfast on Sunday. The playground next to the MacDonalds had finally been completed. The barricade had been removed to reveal a fun and interesting playground that promote motor skills.

We reached the MacDonalds and called Lex during the last minute whether he would like to join us for breakfast. He came within 30 minutes with his son Jun Kai. Jun Kai and Shannon had so much fun playing the obstacles in the playground. They were most happy with the jeep. Laughing and yelling driving the jeep to nowhere.

Shannon's favourite MacDonalds Outlet.

The last trip to Shannon's favourite MacDonalds outlet in Ang Mo Kio was like more than half a year ago. Today we went to the outlet and this was Ethan's first trip to 姐姐's favourite.

This was Shannon's favourite outlet mainly due to the indoor playground and the outlet as well as a nearby playground with swing next to it. She enjoys the swing there. Too bad it's under construction now and there's would be a new and more modern playground taking over the area.

Sometimes it does ponder me that kids have a better communication skill than adults at times. Shannon was able to converse and communicate with the 2 older Eurasian siblings at the indoor playground. She clicks with the girl and hold her hand to go together climbing up and down the playground.

Chinese New Year 2010

We didn't manage to take much photos during this Chinese New Year. On the eve of Chinese New Year, we went back to both parents place for lunch and dinner accordingly. It's the same schedule for every year and we are always bloated after the meals. We were having steamboat this year at my mum's place. I took a photo of the nice food as well as a greedy little pig can't wait to start eating.

The kids got to wear their new pajamas for the night. Shannon was a little princess and Ethan was a little giraffe.

On the 1st day of Chinese New Year, we went back to my mum's place for dumpling before heading to grandma's house. Before going out the kids got their first red packet from Daddy and Mummy.

Ethan's 2nd Injection

After sending Shannon to her nursery, we brought Ethan for his 2nd injection at Marsiling Polyclinic at 10am.

It's our first trip to the polyclinic since donkey years. I was expecting the queue to be long and waiting time to be dragging. To my surprise, the polyclinic was bright and well ventilated. The waiting time was short and the nurse was patient enough to explain on the injections.

Ethan is all ready for the injection.

The aftermath of the injection. Ethan's face is all red with his mouth wide opened. The crying came at a later time.
